This workshop provides a holistic overview of the current context of social management systems, including various standards and methodologies currently available to help organisations with a framework for establishing and implementing their own social responsibility, and assessing their ongoing performance.

The workshop has particular focus on internal evaluation of their organisation’s own social responsibility, including their ethical supply chain management, employment issues and work rights. The course covers social and ethical issues currently facing organisations, as well as specific social auditing skills and frameworks.

SEDEX is the largest collaborative platform for sharing ethical supply chain data on labor standards, health and safety, the environment and business ethics helping organizations to reduce risk, protect reputation and improve supply chain practices.

This course will equip delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to perform audits on social systems and to contribute to the continual improvement of the system based on SMETA (SEDEX members’ ethical trade audits).

The course is equipped with workshops that are part of the accelerated techniques to enhance delegates’ knowledge and practices about course topic.

This training is suitable for qualified management system auditors pursuing SEDEX membership and interested in SEDEX/SMETA 2nd and 3rd party auditing.
