About the course...

Announcement: Tools for Improvement has changed its name to Risk and Business Continuity. We have made a few changes to this workshop which enables participants to be awarded the Exemplar Global unit of competency – Exemplar Global BC.

Risk Management

A primary focus of the new management system standards is the adoption of a risk-based approach and the changes to documented information. With the recent changes to ISO’s standards, organisations need to be looking to transition their existing management systems to meet the new requirements.

In this course, you will learn a modern, streamlined approach to risk management; practical tools for sustained continual improvement; and efficient policies and procedures aimed at sustained business continuity. It provides the tools and knowledge for you to effectively identify and respond to business risk and ensure your organisation’s viability. Principles of risk management in accordance with ISO 31000:2009; and continual improvement strategies aimed at meeting quality objectives will also be covered.

Business Continuity

Business Continuity is an emerging discipline within management systems, with ISO 22301 establishing a framework for managing disruptive events, and to return to business as usual as quickly as possible. The Risk and Business Continuity workshop provides participants with an understanding of the role and requirements of ISO 22301 – Societal Security – Business Continuity Management Systems – requirements.

This workshop will leave you with the knowledge and ability to get the best out of your management system, from integrating risk into your management system through to implementing effective corrective actions that actually stop the problem at its root.

This course is designed as an additional 3 day workshop that builds on the learning outcomes of the Integrated Management System Lead Auditor Course

This course has the equivalent of 24 Professional Development (PD) points.
